The Low Down on Fad Diets and Yo-yo Dieting

When you are dieting the number on the scale always seems the most important to us. It can build us up or break us down. But that number might not matter so much to the creators of these diets we are all going on. The diet industry is raking in an astounding $40 billion annually, with 108 million dieters just in the U.S. 85% of those 108 million dieters are female. But wouldn't these "miracle" diets work. Our favorite celebrities swear by them, and have lost countless pounds on them, and kept them off. The diet they are endorsing might not be the only thing making them lose the weight, they may have a bit of extra motivation from these diet companies. A motivation of $33,000 per pound. If you were being paid to lose weight, would you lose it in an instant? I think, Yes! But, why can you lose the weight when you are being paid, but not for just yourself? Are you not worth it? Do you not deserve to feel comfortable in your own skin? You are worth it and deserve it all. But, it's time for you to start believing in yourself, and believing you are worth it. Stop quitting eating healthy, and you don't have to start over again. It is a slow process, but don't you owe it to yourself. By no means am I saying go on a diet, I am simply saying change your lifestyle. If you slowly change your lifestyle, you will start to feel better, and look better. You don't need to take a huge jump from eating 5,000 calories a day to 500 calories. It could be that instead of eating 5 slices of pizza you eat 4 and then the next week you eat 3 etc. You make gradual changes and retrain your brain into thinking that you don't need that good taste of the junk food and sweets. To be honest, nothing will ever taste better than being skinny feels.

The Fad Diets People fall For

  • Craziest Fad Diets
The Hcg Diet
Tapeworm Diet
Baby Food Diet
Aoqili Diet Soaps
The Sleeping Beauty Diet
The Chewing Diet
The Vision Diet
Ear Stapling
Cotton Ball Diet

The Diet industry is the same as physic, it gives false hope to desperate people. As you look at some of the craziest fad diets above, it is simply people trying to give hope to all those desperate people, trying so very hard to lose weight. Now there is nothing wrong with trying to lose a few pounds, and be the best you, you can be. But these diets take it to the extreme!
The Hcg diet is a diet where you adhere to a 500 calorie diet, and daily injections of hcg, which is a hormone detected during early pregnancy. Because you are eating so little, that contributes to this so called weight loss. You know how in your first trimester women get morning sickness, that is the purpose for the hcg, to make you nauseous and tired and all the other delightful things that come along with being pregnant.  But hcg can also be very dangerous, causing blood clots, headaches and depression.
Tapeworms are a parasite. You can get tapeworms accidentally from under cooked, contaminated  meat. Untreated tapeworms can be lethal. People intentionally ingest a tapeworm, which lives in your stomach and eats your food. Therefore the tapeworm is eating your food instead of your body digesting it. It might sound good, getting to eat anything you want without gaining a pound, but when your health is at risk that might be a slight drawback.
The Aoqili diet soaps, are made of seaweed and aloe vera, and are not only supposed to smooth your skin, but also wash away fat that is underneath it. They do make your skin glow, but doesn't cause you to lose weight. Soap can wash away many stains and dirt stained hands, but I don't quite think it can wipe away your fat! These are just a few of these crazy fad diets. The diet industry is just built on lies, so they can get their cut of the deal, the money. They don't care about you losing weight or your health or they wouldn't have created and endorsed some of these crazy diets. These fad diets, aren't a reasonable way to lose weight, because the moment you come off it, you gain all the weight back, maybe even more. You are risking your health, and possibly you life. Think before, you pick a diet!
Eating healthy while still enjoying food, is the best "diet" there is.
